Golf and MICE Opportunities in Belek for COP31 Participants
Why Is Belek One of the World's Leading MICE Destinations?
Most of the region's five-star hotels have their own meeting rooms, ballrooms and technical teams. This means a participant can attend a side event at their hotel in the morning, move to the congress center in the afternoon, and finish the evening on a golf course or at a restaurant in the same area. The mild weather in November is another advantage that makes outdoor programs possible.
Congress and Meeting Infrastructure to International Standards
The main sessions of COP31 will be held at the EXPO 2016 Antalya site, built for the 2016 World Expo. As part of summit preparations, the 38-kilometer Belek Tourism Road has been completed and the region's main artery widened to two lanes in each direction. These arrangements make daily transport between the hotels in Belek and the summit venue easier.
Alongside the congress center, the hotels' own meeting spaces also form significant capacity. For small working groups, press conferences and bilateral talks behind closed doors, these rooms provide a working environment away from the density of the main summit venue.
Major Events Previously Held in Belek
G20 Leaders' Summit (2015): The main sessions of the summit held on 15–16 November 2015 took place at the Regnum Carya congress center. Most of the region's hotels were used as part of the summit.
Antalya Diplomacy Forum: This forum, which brings together heads of state, ministers and think tanks, is held at the NEST Congress and Exhibition Center.
77th International Astronautical Congress (IAC 2026): The congress, held at NEST from 5–9 October 2026, took place in Turkey for the first time.
SportAccord Convention (2014): The annual gathering of international sports federations was also held in Belek.
The fact that security, accreditation and transport operations on a summit scale have previously been carried out successfully in this region also represents valuable experience for COP31.
